Kia ora St John’s whānau,
We gather for worship this Sunday as usual at 10am and the Youth Group will lead us in worship, emphasising we are part of an upside-down Kingdom.
The Youth Group have been exploring the shape of our communal worship, guided by Isaiah, the Major Prophet in the Hebrew scriptures.
All the young people will remain in for all of this special service.

MATARIKI ALL AGE SERVICE
On the Sunday 9th July – prior to the Matariki public holiday – we will have an All Age Service exploring the elements of the Matariki celebration that connect with the revelation of God we recognise in scripture and creation.
MATARIKI FUN DAY
Invite your friends to come along to a family-friendly afternoon of different activities exploring Matariki.
Hosted in the St John's Centre on the corner of Dixon and Willis Street. There will be crafts to make, stories to tell, games to play and food to eat. We will end the fun day by going to fly kites.
This is a special event for people of all ages, so see you there on the 16th of July at 2pm with your family and friends.
PUBLIC THEOLOGY
Myk Habets (Head of Theology at Laidlaw College) is speaking at Wellington Central Baptist this weekend: on Friday evening (June 30) and Saturday morning (July 1). His topic is Engaging Theology and there is a $10 door charge to cover costs for catering.
DCM ART SHOW
Our friends at DCM are holding an art show to exhibit the works of some of their talented whānau – Jason, Hapi and Fraser. This is Wednesday 5 July, 12-5pm, at Wesley Methodist Church, 75 Taranaki Street.
The way of Christ is perfect; we can always trust that walking with our Saviour is good for us.
