Weekly Bulletin: Staying connected as a church - 27 October 2024

Kia ora St John’s whānau,

This Sunday we ask the question “Where is Jesus…?’

Our Scripture reading is Hebrews 7:23-28

We will all gather for worship in the Church at 10am. Our young people will go out of the service part-way to their peer groups.
At the conclusion of the service we will all share Morning Tea together.

PCANZ RESPONSE

This week our national Church published a response to the findings of the Royal Commission on Abuse in Care report, and this is available HERE:

There is also a link to a New Zealand Sign Language version HERE:

This response includes an apology to those harmed by our actions and inaction. This apology is in addition to the public acknowledgement for historic abuse to survivors, their whanau and support networks that our Moderator of the General Assembly, Right Rev Rose Luxford, will make in mid-November.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR

Anyone who likes to sing is invited to join our special choir for Advent and Christmas services. Rehearsals will begin on November 10th after the morning service until 12.30pm each Sunday. They will be held in the Chapel. For more information please see our Music Director, Eleanor Carter.
