Weekly Bulletin: Staying connected as a church - 26 May 2024
Kia ora St John’s whānau,
This weekend it is Trinity Sunday – and we will celebrate this mystery of God’s identity, and the profound importance of our experience sharing in this mystery.
Our Bible reading is John 3:1-17
Students, staff and families from Fergusson House will join us for worship – and we will celebrate with them their 90th year as a House community.
Our youth will stay in for the whole service, and our children will have their peer group time during the second part of the service, going out after the Sung Blessing.
If you can’t gather in the city, and you want to join the worship service via Zoom, here are the details to access the live-stream:

FELLOWSHIP GROUP
Pip Rea, director of community services of the Wellington City Mission will share with the news about Whaka Maru, their new building to house all of their community services at Oxford Terrace near the Basin Reserve.
Fellowship Group will meet on 28th May at 11am in the Hall.
STUDENT STUDY SPACE
Next month university students start their exam season. This is a time where having a quiet space to study can be difficult to find. We are reaching out to students to offer them a space here at St John's in the City, to help them get through this stressful time. We will need some volunteers to help supervise this!
We need a minimum of 2 people for 2 ½ hour time slots (1-3.30pm and 3.30-6pm) from the 4th-6th and 10th-13th June. We have WIFI available so if you want to work from church while providing supervision you are more than welcome.
On Sunday there will be signup sheets available but if you want to get ahead of the rush of volunteers feel free to contact Hannah (h.north@stjohnsinthecity.org.nz) to sign up for your preferred day and time.
