Weekly Bulletin: Staying connected as a church - 3 July 2022

Kia ora St John’s whānau,

This Sunday we worship God as we celebrate the mission we have been given.

Last Sunday we had an All Age Worship Service with a theme of Matariki.

Together we celebrated, remembered, learned, shared and prepared.

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT

ST JOHN’S VISION

We have articulated a fresh Vision for St John’s. And everyone is invited to get involved as we follow this Vision as a way to reform, restore and rebuild us as a Church.

Over several weeks we have had various presentations and discussions, and a summary of the Vision is available to read here:

“We explore and share the gospel with our dynamic neighbourhood. We create safe spaces to be, to belong, and to navigate the tough stuff. Getting to know God is a team sport – that’s why we do this together, not alone.”

BAPTISM & CONFIRMATIONS DISCUSSIONS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
The Baptism and Confirmation Conversations for young people are underway – these happen after the Sunday services. Light lunch will be provided. If you would like to take part in this, please let Ino know. e.pasullean@stjohnsinthecity.org.nz
"Can I be baptised again, even though I've been baptised when I was a baby?", "Why should I be baptised?",
"Can I be baptised on the beach?"
(If you are older and interested in Baptism, please contact Rev Allister)

SCOTS COLLEGE HOUSE SERVICE

This term we have hosted multiple special evening services for the Scots College Houses.
The last House Service is for Uttley House, with students, families and staff this Sunday 3rd July at 6pm in the Church building. You are very welcome to come and share in this opportunity to proclaim the Gospel message, and offer hospitality as God’s family.
